Apple Iphone 7s

Apple's iPhone 7S is going to give you new features at the normal iPhone price, according to the latest rumors.  That's going to make it the right choice for a lot of people who want to upgrade their iPhone and shy away from a potential expensive, experimental iPhone 8.  Yes, if true, Apple would be embracing choice with its smartphones, releasing an iPhone 7S, and iPhone 7S Plus, and a super-premium iPhone 8.  But what will make the iPhone 7S better than the iPhone 7? It won't be size, but it may pack plenty of speed, wireless charging and maybe a new screen. We fully expect the iPhone 7S release date to be in September this year, with an announcement date one or two weeks beforehand. History and rumors tell us this.  The big question is will the iPhone 7S arrive in stores alone (with a Plus version), or will the iPhone 8 also make it out at the same time?  As per usual, expect the actual in-store release date and the delivery date to be on a Friday. Lenovo P2

A battery brute on a tiny budget Weight:  177g |  Dimensions:  153 x 76 x 8.3mm |  OS:  Android 7 |  Screen size:  5.5-inch |  Resolution:  1080 x 1920 |  CPU:  Snapdragon 625 |  RAM:  4GB |  Storage:  32GB |  Battery:  5,100mAh |  Rear camera:  13MP |  Front camera:  5MP Phenomenal battery life Gorgeous display for the money Heavy and quite large Limited camera If you’re looking for a high-spec budget phone, you’d be hard pressed to do better than the Lenovo P2.  It features everything you’d expect to see in a mid-range phone but we’re continually surprised by how cheap it is. Most phones with a similar price to the Lenovo P2 don’t have a full metal unibody, and especially not one that feels as premium as this phone. Other people who see you using the P2 won’t be able to tell it’s a budget device, but it's got more than just good looks, as it feels...

OnePlus 5

Image
Just like the OnePlus 3 and 3T before it, OnePlus’ latest flagship offers a metallic body, though it’s much thinner this time around. Not only is the handset just 7.25 mm thin, it also features an aggressive taper around the sides that makes the phone feel even thinner. The antenna lines have also been redesigned to go around the perimeter of the phone instead of cutting across the back, making them a lot less noticeable. Thanks to the rounded corners and edges, the OnePlus 5 looks great and is comfortable to hold. Still, it is worth noting that the thin sides make the phone a bit on the slippery side. The new design changes are going to be a bit polarizing for some of you. While I’m certainly a fan of most of these changes, it is hard to deny that the OnePlus 5 heavily resembles an  iPhone 7 Plus , especially with the addition of a dual camera system that’s similarly shaped and sits in the same location. I am happy to report that, unlike the iPhone, the OnePlus...

OnePlus 3T

Image
A few months later, the first 2017 flagships have started to surface but the OnePlus 3T remains one of the best options on the market, especially for those that are price conscientious. So what exactly does the OnePlus 3T bring to the table, and how does it compare to the OnePlus 3, as well as more recent competition? As far as the design is concerened, the OnePlus 3T looks exactly like its older sibling, and features the same full metal unibody construction, with a slightly curved back and rounded sides and corners. Despite being made entirely of metal, the phone is surprisingly light, and because the back tapers along the edges, it feels thinner as well, making for a device that is very comfortable to hold. It’s also not a very tall or wide phone and is only slightly larger than the  Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge , allowing for a comfortable one-handed experience despite coming with a 5.5-inch display. There isn’t any 3T logo anywhere on the device that explicitly indicates that...

There isn’t any 3T logo anywhere on the device that explicitly indicates that this is the upgraded flagship, and the only way to to really distinguish it from the older OnePlus 3 is by the color. The OnePlus 3T is available in the same gold variant as the OnePlus 3, but the second color option is gunmetal instead of silver. The gunmetal version comes with both 64 and 128 GB options, while th...

Apple iPhone 7

Image
There are plenty of good or even great Android  phones  to choose from now, from the 2017  Samsung Galaxy S8  and  OnePlus 5  to the 2016  Google Pixel . The iPhone 7 beats these on speed, but not on battery life. Its size, performance and camera are unique features -- along with being a way to use  iOS , of course -- but the iPhone's unique qualities are, this time, improved in many subtle ways. But there are still compelling reasons to consider an iPhone 7, even if you own one of those recent iPhone models... provided you have an affordable way to upgrade. The iPhone 7 is now fully water-resistant (it can take a shallow dunking). The camera takes notably better photos, especially in low light, and adds the optical image stabilization feature previously restricted to the 5.5-inch Plus model. The battery lasts a little bit longer -- sometimes it's notable, other times it feels just slightly better than the iPhone 6S. The processor is de...

Samsung Galaxy S8

Image
The Samsung Galaxy is a phone that's unlike anything you'll have seen on the market. It's just stunning. It's incredibly expensive in a world where mid-range phones are more than good enough to handle most tasks people like... but the second you pick it up it's easy to see why. The screen is just brilliant - the clearest, sharpest and offers lovely color reproduction to make movie watching a dream, and that's before you've even got to the fact it's wrapped into the chassis so hugely that it has a screen larger than the iPhone 7 Plus in a chassis that feels more like the iPhone 7. The Galaxy S8 isn't perfect - in the search to squeeze the screen in so completely, other factors were overlooked: namely, the placement of the fingerprint reader. If you want this phone, you'll need to answer this question: are you OK using an iris scanner? And if you're looking for something  even  bigger, and with a much-improved battery life to boot, the...
